Blood Strike August Dev Talk

2024.08.21

Welcome to our latest Developer Talk! We're excited to bring you an inside look at the latest updates and what's coming next in Blood Strike. In today's Dev Talk, we'll delve into the design philosophy behind our new Striker, Kainda, and share why she's poised to redefine your gameplay experience. We'll also provide insights on highly requested features like the 120 FOV and Duo Mode.

When will we have 120 FOV available?

We know how important the FOV (Field of View) is to our players, especially for those looking to maximize their situational awareness and overall gameplay experience. We have been working on this new feature, and we're excited to share that 120 FOV is estimated to roll out in the last quarter of 2024.
This update has been a priority for us, as we recognize its impact on your in-game performance, especially in fast-paced scenarios where every degree of vision counts. Our team is fine-tuning the settings to ensure that the wider FOV not only enhances your field of view but also maintains the game's performance and visual clarity.

New Striker Kainda
We're thrilled to introduce Kainda alongside the August Strike Pass, and we'd like to share some insights into why we designed Kainda and the impact we expect her to have on the current battle dynamics.
When designing Kainda, we wanted to introduce a Striker who could redefine the dynamics of both solo and team play in Blood Strike. Our goal was to create a Striker who excels at providing critical intel and applying pressure from a distance, adding layers of depth to strategic planning.

Kainda's ability to scout enemy positions and influence their movements opens up new tactical possibilities, allowing players to adapt their strategies on the fly. We envisioned her as a versatile asset—a striker who can control the battlefield by disrupting enemy plans and creating opportunities for her team to capitalize on.
With Kainda, we aimed to challenge players to think more strategically, leveraging her unique skill set to outmaneuver opponents and secure victories.

Will we have duo mode in ranked matches?
We've heard your concerns about the challenges in the current Trio mode, and we understand how frustrating it can be when your teammate doesn't meet expectations. We're actively considering the introduction of a dedicated duo mode for ranked matches. However, it's important to note that simply adding this feature may not be a quick fix for the issue.
One of our primary concerns is how this addition could impact matchmaking times. Ensuring a smooth and timely matchmaking experience has always been a core focus for us, and we want to avoid any adjustments that might lead to longer wait times or negatively affect the overall player experience.
We're exploring various solutions and carefully weighing the potential benefits against the challenges. Rest assured, we're committed to delivering the best possible experience, and your feedback plays a crucial role in our decision-making process.
